As lives lost to overdose continue to rise each year, overdose prevention is a critically important endeavor. It can be especially important for survivors of intimate partner violence, who are often at higher risk for accidental overdose due to abusive partners leveraging substance use coercion tactics, criminalization of survival, and/or being turned away from support services because of substance use-related stigma. Overdoses are preventable with the right information, resources, and support. Join this session to learn more about strategies around overdose prevention and safety planning, best practices, and available resources to support local overdose prevention programming.
