Join us for a discussion on how our community can better meet the needs of pregnant and postpartum women, their infants, and their families affected by substance exposure.
Target Audience:
OB-GYNs, pediatricians, family practice, advanced practice nurses, nurses, social workers, hospital case managers, behavioral health care and SUD treatment providers, early childhood programs, child protective services, home visitors, peer recovery support specialists, courts, domestic violence, and others caring for mothers and infants affected by SUD.
By the end of this discussion, participants should be able to:
• Identify common strengths and challenges that organizations and communities face in treating and supporting the mother-baby dyad and their families affected by substance exposure.
• Articulate and apply best practices for medical and behavioral health care providers from evidence-based and evidence-informed publications to improve outcomes for the mother-baby dyad and their families affected by substance exposure.
