DESCRIPTION:Monthly Webinar Series – “Empowering women to choose the birth control method that works for them!” \nEmpowering women to choose the birth control method that works for them! \n\n\nFollowing the training\, participants can request to receive the materials discussed for use in their practice. Materials include posters for clinics and offices\, education grids for patient discussions\, and patient education cards for handouts to clients. All materials are commercial-free and provided at no cost to training participants. \n\n\nBy the end of this presentation\, participants will be able to: \n\n\nList different methods of contraception\, their uses\, and risks and benefits of each\, including resources for factual information about different methods of contraception and myths about birth control\nDemonstrate methods for assisting women to learn about birth control using a client-led approach and interactive education grid\nIdentify ways to build rapport\, and overcome barriers to access to contraception\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese trainings are offered once per month. DESCRIPTION:PSI’s Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy Training is an evidence-based curriculum designed for mental health and psychotherapy providers who have previously completed at least fourteen hours of perinatal mental health training. This advanced training covers differential diagnosis\, evidence-based psychotherapeutic approaches\, and advanced therapeutic issues. It combines expert presentation with case studies\, group discussion\, and practical examples of treatment approaches. This course or an equivalent six-hour advanced training course is a pre-requisite for the Perinatal Mental Health Certification\, in the mental health/psychotherapy specialty. DESCRIPTION:This two-day course\, taught by expert and engaging faculty\, uses a thorough\, evidence-based curriculum designed for psychiatrists\, nurses\, physicians\, social workers\, mental health providers\, childbirth professionals\, social support providers\, and anyone interested in building skills for assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders. Your registration includes training manual\, handouts\, and certification of continuing education credits. \nObjectives:\nUpon completion of this course\, participants will be able to:\n1. Identify the challenges faced when identifying and treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.\n2. Describe the symptoms and understand the differential diagnosis of prenatal and postpartum depression\, anxiety\, panic disorder\, OCD\, PTSD\, bipolar disorders and psychosis.\n3. Discuss psychopharmacology as it relates to pregnancy\, postpartum\, and lactation.\n4. Assess prenatal and postpartum risk factors.\n5. Assess for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.\n6. Identify treatment options for perinatal mood disorders (PMDs).\n7. Discuss breastfeeding and PMDs.\n8. Develop psychosocial and self-help treatment plans as well as appropriate psychotherapy techniques and alternative therapies.\n9. State appropriate psychotherapy modalities.\n10. DESCRIPTION:Monthly Webinar Series – “Empowering women to choose the birth control method that works for them!” \nEmpowering women to choose the birth control method that works for them! \n\n\nFollowing the training\, participants can request to receive the materials discussed for use in their practice. Materials include posters for clinics and offices\, education grids for patient discussions\, and patient education cards for handouts to clients. All materials are commercial-free and provided at no cost to training participants. \n\n\nBy the end of this presentation\, participants will be able to: \n\n\nList different methods of contraception\, their uses\, and risks and benefits of each\, including resources for factual information about different methods of contraception and myths about birth control\nDemonstrate methods for assisting women to learn about birth control using a client-led approach and interactive education grid\nIdentify ways to build rapport\, and overcome barriers to access to contraception\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese trainings are offered once per month.
